  To visit Tortuga Island from Santa Teresa, first you must make a reservation at least one day at advance to confirm your spot. Tour is operated daily, boat depart from Montezuma Beach.

• What to do in Tortuga Island.?

  You can find a variety of activities for visitors in Tortuga Island such as: Snorkeling, Banana boat tour, Hiking, kayaking, Paddleboarding, Swimming in the clear blue waters or just relax on the white sandy beaches. You can ask your tour guide how to book any of these extra activities once you are on the Island.

  From Montezuma, Santa Teresa and from Puntarenas, snorkeling tour is included.

• Are there toilets on Tortuga Island.?

  Yes, but not for free. It has an extra cost of ($1 usd). Some tour companies offer their own.




• Are there turtles on Tortuga Island.?

  You might see some Green turtles or Hawksbill turtles while snorkeling or during the boat trip. Tortuga Island is not a turtle nesting beach.

• Is Tortuga Island good for snorkeling.?

  Sure, Tortuga Island it’s a good spot for Snorkeling. There you can find calm waters with a turquoise color, offering a good visibility of up to 25 meters on a clear day. You will also find a lot of marine life and stunning coral reefs.

• How long is the tour from Santa Teresa to Tortuga Island.?

  We offer land transportation from Santa Teresa to Montezuma, (It takes approximately 35 minutes each way to and from Santa Teresa.)

  The Boat takes approximately 45 minutes each way from Montezuma Beach – Tortuga Island.
