Here we provide information about things to do in Montezuma or Santa Teresa.
If you travel from San José you must get to Puntarenas and from there take the ferry that goes to Paquera. (See Ferry schedule). You can also buy the Ferry ticket online.
The ferry ride takes about an hour and a half. During the trip you will be able to relax enjoying the breeze and the views of the Gulf of Nicoya, you will be able to see islands such as Isla San Lucas. San Lucas housed a prison that operated between 1873 and 1991, you will also see Isla Cedros and Jesusita.
When you arrive at the pier in Paquera, if you go by your own car, you must take the route that goes to Paquera and from there follow the signs to Montezuma. If you want to take the public bus, you must get off the ferry and take the bus that says Cóbano – Montezuma. Or you can ask the driver if that bus will take you to Montezuma.
Or you can get off at Cóbano and from there take a taxi to Montezuma or Santa Teresa.
Once you arrive in Montezuma or Santa Teresa you can contact us to give you the address where you can pay for the tour to Isla Tortuga or for the Bioluminescence tour.
